My name is Andrew, the founder of Long Island Ponds. I've been building ponds since I was 18. The passion stared when my Dad asked me if I wanted to help him build a small pondless waterfall with materials around the house. After finishing, it was not enough for me and next summer I planned to make a 15x12 pond, and ever since it's been the highlight of the house, and I want every one to experience a water oasis ecosystem in the comfort of thier own backyard.

Having a background in construction and outdoor landscaping, waterscaping has come easy to us. Having a water oasis ecosystem in your backyard is more practical than people think, and once you have it, you have it for life!

There are endless ideas for designs for each backyard and the opportunities are endless when it comes to fish and plants. We want to make an affordable opportunity for people to enjoy their backyard in a new way. Our Vision

Our vision, as a builder, is to create an atmosphere in your backyard that will draw people, wildlife and attention to it. We want to change that ugly corner of the yard into a place where friends and family will converse and socialize near. Benefits include learning and teaching, socializing, entertainment, and relaxation. Get the kids out of the house playing video games and out to the pond learning.

Fish and Plant Life

Fish

Most customers enjoy a variety of koi fish to present in their ponds. Koi can vary in types but some of the most popular koi’s are Butterfly and fantail. Koi will grow to the size of the pond and can live for years if treated right. Don’t overfeed your fish and make sure you spread out feeding times!!!

Plant Life

Plants inside and around the pond is really the bread and butter to water systems any ware around the world. From tropical elephant ears outside the pond, to Lilly pads and cattails inside the pond, our team has endless ideas to design plant life around your pond to put a finishing touch on our product.
